SEO and Keyword Research – make them work for you

SEO and Keyword Research are incredibly important to you and your business, whether you are launching, expanding or just looking to further establish your brand. As we talked about in SEO - why you need it, effective use of SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation is a great (as well as free!) marketing tool. It is a way of using search engines to direct a higher quality and quantity of traffic to your website. So how do you make Google your business's new best friend? Glad you asked! Let's talk about SEO, keyword research and how you can make these two concepts work for you.

Know Your Customer

You have a great product, a Facebook page and a good looking website but customers and sales seem to be thin on the ground. What comes next? How do you go from a great product to great sales and happy customers?

"Always be closing"; the "SPIN," "SNAP" or "SANDLAR" selling techniques; ask questions; create scarcity... when it comes to ways to sell, there is a very, very long list of techniques you could research and adhere to. But we think the most important of any sales techniques is to Know Your Customer. Knowing your potential customer or client is how you will bring them to your door (physical or cyber). And after all, you can't sell until you have a customer to sell to. This is where keyword research comes in.

Keyword Research

In order to have great SEO, you first need to do some work with Keyword Research. This is where you really need to get to know your customer. In a nutshell, Keyword Research is figuring out what your potential customers are typing into their search engines. Once you have an idea of this, you can populate your website accordingly. It's really quite simple hey?

We'll continue talking SEO and Keyword Research for the next few blogs, so please stay tuned!
